Happy Passover to our Jewish friends and family who will be celebrating the beginning of Passover starting this Friday, April 15th and ending on Saturday, April 23rd. The Passover is also sometimes called the “Festival of Unleavened Bread” as during the week of Passover, Jewish families are to only consume unleavened bread. The first night of Passover is most celebrated as families gather to enjoy a special family meal called Seder (foods of symbolic significance), special prayers and traditional recitations. Passover is a time for great rejoicing amongst the Jewish community as they commemorate liberation.
Ramadan Mubarak to our Muslim friends and family who are celebrating the holy month of Ramadan. During this sacred time of the year, Muslims fast from sunrise to sunset. This special time of the year invites Muslims to renew their spiritual relationship with God and to practice self-discipline. The last day of Ramadan is celebrated with Eid al-Fitr which is the festival of breaking fast. This year, Eid al-Fitr will commence the evening May 1st and end the evening of May 2nd.
No matter what culture you belong to, we wish you and yours a safe and wonderful weekend creating great new memories!
